About the program

Mujeres Forward is an eight-session leadership development program designed to empower Latina women and non-binary professionals in the credit union movement to lead with confidence, authenticity, and purpose. Created to address persistent leadership gaps and expand pathways to executive leadership, the program provides an intentional space for participants to strengthen their leadership skills, build meaningful professional relationships, and develop the confidence to navigate complex workplace challenges. Through interactive workshops, mentorship from an experienced advisory committee, and a capstone project grounded in real-world challenges, participants gain practical tools to advocate for themselves, influence organizational change, and lead with impact. While Mujeres Forward is intentionally designed to elevate Latina women and non-binary professionals, the lessons and leadership skills developed throughout the program create lasting benefits for participants, their organizations, and the communities they serve.

What to Expect

Mujeres Forward combines leadership development, mentorship, and hands-on learning to create a meaningful and supportive cohort experience.

• Interactive Leadership Workshops: Participate in eight virtual sessions focused on the skills today's leaders need most, including emotional intelligence, strategic networking, public speaking, negotiation, and navigating workplace barriers with confidence.

• Advisory Committee Support: Throughout the program, participants work alongside an advisory committee of experienced leaders who provide guidance, encouragement, and feedback as they grow their leadership skills and develop their capstone projects.

• A Collaborative Cohort Experience: Connect with a community of peers who share similar aspirations, challenges, and lived experiences. Through discussion, collaboration, and networking, participants build lasting relationships that extend beyond the program.

• Capstone Leadership Project: Apply your learning by developing a solution to a real-world challenge facing the credit union movement. Participants refine their ideas through multiple stages before delivering a professional presentation that demonstrates strategic thinking, communication, and leadership growth.

• Personal Growth & Lasting Impact: Throughout the program, participants reflect on their leadership journey, strengthen their confidence, and leave with practical tools they can immediately apply within their organizations and communities.
