NLCUP’s monthly webinars deliver timely, relevant insights for credit union professionals. Held the last Wednesday of every month at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST, each session features expert speakers and fosters dialogue on key topics shaping our industry. Member input helps shape the series, making it both responsive and impactful.

Mentorship Program

One of NLCUP’s cornerstone programs, our six-month Mentorship program pairs credit union professionals with seasoned leaders for one-on-one guidance and monthly group sessions. The program fosters leadership development, career growth, and meaningful professional connections across our network.

Mujeres Forward

Mujeres Forward is an eight-session virtual leadership program empowering women and non-binary professionals in the credit union industry. Through interactive workshops, participants build skills in emotional intelligence, networking, negotiation, public speaking, and navigating corporate stereotypes. Advisory board check-ins and a guided presentation practice run support a culminating capstone project, where participants apply their learning and showcase their growth through defined milestones and deadlines.

 
 

 

Ejecutivos in the Making

Designed for mid-level professionals preparing for senior roles, this seven-session program combines virtual workshops with an executive shadowing experience. Participants develop core competencies in decision-making, strategic leadership, and communication to take the next step in their careers.

 

 

Career Advancement Foundations

Formerly known as our Three-Part Professional Development Workshop, this interactive series helps professionals sharpen their resumes, prepare for interviews, and embrace authenticity in professional dress. With hands-on coaching and practical exercises, participants walk away with stronger tools, greater confidence, and a clearer path forward in their careers.

 

 

Fundamentals for the Modern Boardroom

This four-week virtual program prepares emerging leaders to serve on nonprofit boards with confidence. Through expert instruction and interactive sessions, participants gain essential skills in governance, financial oversight, ethical leadership, and community engagement, laying the groundwork for impactful board service.

Latino Public Speaking Lab

Public Speaking Practice Lab is an ongoing virtual space where credit union professionals can build confidence and strengthen their speaking skills in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Each drop-in session offers guided practice, impromptu prompts, real-life presentation support, and encouraging feedback. This is a space to work through nerves, refine your message, and use your voice in community. All voices are welcome, including accents, pauses, and Spanglish.

Cultural Awareness for Credit Union Board Members is a training that equips board members with the cultural insight needed to thoughtfully consider and serve the Latino community in their strategic decision-making. Our Conectados sessions welcome new and prospective members into an informative and connection-driven experience. Each session highlights NLCUP’s benefits, programs, and events, while offering space to network, ask questions, and build community. These sessions are open to everyone. NLCUP/Juntos Avanzamos Chapters

Regional Chapters bring credit union professionals together at the local level to build relationships, understand community needs, and exchange ideas and tools that help us serve our communities more effectively. NLCUP is a national network, but every region is different, and these local spaces ensure our work stays rooted in the people we serve.
